Bloom no matter what

Slowly I'm coming out of this painting slump I've been in. Yesterday afternoon I walked out through my over grown flower garden to take the trash out and what did I find but this wonderful gladiolus that had just bloomed without regard to my tending. That's what I love about flowers. Sometimes it seems they have a will of their own and just bloom no matter what. There is a lesson in there for me: bloom no matter what.

Although I didn't bother to get all my equipment set up "just right" and the heat this morning just bored holes right through me so all the water would drip from every pore found on my body and I only stayed out 20 minutes... here's 20 minutes worth. Perhaps in the morning I can go back out again and finish up. :) It felt good to paint.
